[ In the middle of the day, something interrupts your usual radio broadcast. There's a short interlude of music that fades into the background. A deep, monotone voice, filtered and altered to be unrecognisable speaks. It's like something from a number's station. ]
Listen. V. 0...2...A...9... [ It drones on, listing numbers with some letters thrown in; enough for a Gear number, if the letters are taken for their value in the alphabet. It concludes with two more letters. ] ...W...S.
[ The jingle plays. It recites the code, starting with the letter V once more before the jingle rings out once more, and the radio returns to normal. If need be, the strange message occurs again, two hours later and interrupts Oak's Pokemon Talk Time Show.
In truth, Walter had used his Pokegear to try and get Sneak's information before he vanished, and remembering his previous co-workers there was only one who had the letter V foremost in their name. Still it paid to be cautious, even if Vanitas had questions and by now, Walter's number was not as private as it had been when he first abandoned Team Rocket. Thanks to Radio's influence, anyone ringing who doesn't have Rocket affiliations (and who isn't Felix or Jack) will find themselves on the receiving end of a polite 'The number you have dialed is not in use. Please check the number, and try again' message. ]
