Wearing: Markings: Unversed symbol carved into the back of her head trunk Holding: Coba Berry
Met in Goldenrod City (level 15) | May 21st, 2017 While very much a temperamental little shit, Flood is the best partner that Vanitas could have gotten. She loves causing trouble and thoroughly enjoys her trainer's antics, generally helping with them wherever she can. Her devotion towards him is helping her become an extremely strong Phantump who has no real desire to evolve anytime soon. (She likes being small enough to ride around on Scrapper or sit on Vanitas's head.) She gets a kick out of picking on Vani's Woobat, Toppler, and loves to con people out of snacks with Shadow. When she doesn't get her way Flood turns into a salty little brat, throwing a tantrum and refusing to do anything until she gets what she wants and it's perfect. Again, great for Vanitas.
Taking it upon herself to steal a Psychic TM, Flood now has the ability to communicate with people--Arceus help us all. She uses this new way of communicating to stir up trouble whenever she can and to chat with the object of her admiration--Handsome Jack. Don't mistake her chit-chatty nature for her being an airhead, though. She's still as manipulative as ever and loves stirring up trouble with Shadow.
She's shown to have a fondness for cats, taking to Potya--Yuri's Glameow--almost immediately and adoring Flick and their love for trouble. Maybe it has something to do with their fluffy fur. Who knows.
When Vanitas's loyalty to Team Rocket began to waver Flood started to try and coax him back, urging him to stick with them; to keep working for them because it wasn't as bad as what Walter was telling him. Vanitas was quick to have her and Toppler de-chipped, though, and her attitude changed quite a bit. She's still her usual cheeky and manipulative self but she's a bit more quiet and cunning as well, clearly ready to make anyone that dares to try and harm her trainer pay. She's 100% loyal to Vanitas despite having been a Team Rocket Pokemon and has no plans of leaving him anytime in the near future.
Wearing: Markings: Nose is darker colored than normal; ears have grey tips Holding:
Met in Goldenrod City (level 5) | May 21st, 2017 A happy go-lucky little creature that really doesn't deserve the punishment of belonging to Vanitas. Toppler tends to spend most of his time in his Pokeball--which is probably a good thing--though since the addition of Light he's been a little more inclined to come out when he can. He sticks close to the other happy go-lucky Pokemon and uses her carefree nature to cheer himself up.
Despite being absolutely terrified of Vanitas, Toppler does try to do what he can to make his owner happy though he does have a tendency to try and do the right thing in the face of Vani's bad choices. More often than not he'll thwart his trainer's plans to steal other people's Pokemon and tries to be helpful to anyone in need. He's definitely not a creature that should be stuck with such an asshole trainer.
Vanitas's relationship with Toppler began to change, growing into something more genuine as time passed. It reached a head during the events of the Nightmare Forest when all of Vani's Pokemon got a chance to see what sorts of things plagued their trainer. Toppler put aside all their past issues and kept close to his trainer throughout the entirety of the event, soothing him as best he could until they were finally able to escape the forest. His devotion and care earned genuine affection from Vanitas and ultimately prompted Toppler's evolution into Swoobat.
Unlike Flood who was a bit pushy about trying to keep Vanitas with Team Rocket initially, Toppler was a bit more willing to go against what he was essentially programmed to do. He fought hard against his more intrusive thoughts and urged their trainer to do what was right, happy to be de-chipped so he could continue on as his carefree self and help Vanitas in whatever way possible.
Wearing: A chain around her neck with the Unversed symbol positioned over the skull on her chest (x) Markings: Left side of her face is scarred up; has a knotch in her left horn Holding: Hyper Potion
Met in Goldenrod City (level 16) | May 23rd, 2017 A rough and tumble Pokemon that put up one hell of a fight before Vanitas was able to catch her. She's clearly been through a few scraps judging by her appearance and seems to enjoy causing pain and trouble for everyone around her.
Despite Vanitas not really needing a bodyguard, Scrapper seems to have appointed herself to the position anyway, always at his side and snarling at anyone that comes too close. She seems to despise most humans and Pokemon alike but does tolerate Flood for reasons unknown to pretty much everyone. Including Vanitas. The only other exception to the rule seems to be Coach, a more recent addition to the team. The pair can usually be found together which is strange...
Okay. Apparently they're in love of something so now Vanitas has to deal with them randomly having eggs. He's not thrilled about it but it makes Scrapper happy so he's not going do anything about it. Having Coach around has seemed to help keep her temper in check towards his other Pokemon which, in turn, has helped all of them settle in better.
Wearing: Markings: Has faint stripping down her back that curves around her sides Holding:
Met in Ecruteak City (level 22) | June 6th, 2017 A chill little ghost, Shadow ended up a member of Vanitas's team after crossing paths with him and his team in Ecruteak. She gave them a run for their money, enjoying messing with Flood especially, but she was eventually defeated and caught.
Now partners in crime with the bratty little Phantump, Shadow has easily become one of Vanitas's favorites and a constant companion alongside his other ghostly brat. Even when he tries to leave her behind she usually ends up following along in his Shadow and popping out at random for her own amusement. She's very loyal to Vanitas and while she does seem like an easy going girl, Shadow will make your life difficult if you cause her trainer any problems.
After returning to Mahogany Town from the Lake of Rage, Shadow and Vanitas decided it was time to take the next step. Tricking a youngster into trading with him, Vanitas watched as Shadow evolved..and then promptly took her back and stole the little kid's Pokemon in the process. Shadow is now an even more mischievous thing and is quite pleased by how much people are freaked out by her now.
Wearing: Markings: Has scars all over it's front legs and back legs Holding:
Met on Mt. Mortar (level 33) | June 9th, 2017 A little hard hitting bad ass that gave Vanitas and Scrapper a run for their money when they first encountered him. It took a solid hour before they were able to wear this Gible down but once they were able to Vanitas happily captured and added him to the team. Now that he's an official member, Bruiser enjoys "play"-fighting with Scrapper and Flood, honing it's skills even more.
It hasn't evolved and doesn't seem to have any interest in doing so right now which is fine with Vanitas. As long as the little guy fights tooth and nail Vanitas doesn't care what size he is.
The addition of Jelly to the party has seemed to make Bruiser very happy, the two opting to play instead of fight when they first met. Since then the Gible is usually found carrying his new friend--girlfriend--around, growling at anyone that dares to come too close to her.
Wearing: Markings: The markings on it's back are darker than normal; front claws are the same color as it's back markings; has the Unversed symbol burned/scarred into the thigh of her right hind leg Holding:
Met on Mt. Mortar (level 40) | June 16th, 2017 There was no fight necessary to win this particular Salandit because she's absolutely infatuated with Vanitas. She started stalking the group and eventually found a way to get onto Vanitas's lap while he was watching his other Pokemon fight. Despite his best efforts he couldn't get her to leave him alone and is now stuck with this infatuated lizard. She's fiercely protective of Vanitas and absolutely hates to lose, making her a tough competitor in any fight she ends up in.
Now evolved, Phial's manipulative streak has started to show itself in regards to other Pokemon. She'll happily coerce them into doing whatever she wants them to do, using her pheromones to make her demands impossible to deny. (Blaster, Wrecker and Bruiser in particular are her favorite targets.) Scrapper absolutely hates her because of it but recently Phial and Mandrake have become good pals, manipulating and screwing with every member of Vanitas's team when they get the chance. Whenever Phial is out she sticks very close to her trainer, nuzzling up against him and draping herself over his back.
When Vanitas made the decision to leave Team Rocket, it was Phial whom he relied on to go to Yuri and keep an eye on the blonde in case his former teammates tried anything. While she didn't like the idea of being separated from her trainer, she understood that this was an important task and set out to find the blonde and stay by his side until recalled by Vanitas.
Wearing: Markings: Has faint striping on her back; the blue saddle patch spreads down her arms and covers her entire front paws Holding:
Met on Mt. Mortar (level 32) | June 20th, 2017 Ever met an animal that is just itching to scratch your eyes out and bit your neck just because you looked at it the wrong way? That's Remnant.
Vanitas and co ran into this little gal as they were heading down Mt. Mortar and rather than attack the other Pokemon, Remnant attacked Vanitas. She was quickly put down by Scrapper and Phial, neither of them taking kindly to the Cyndaquil going after their trainer. Vanitas found the entire thing amusing, though, and rather than let them tear her apart he added her to his team.
Since that day she's become rather devoted to Vanitas since he didn't show any fear in the face of her attack and, like Scrapper, is extremely protective of him. She evolved into a Typhlosion quicker than expected because of her desire to protect her trainer and Vanitas isn't going to complain. She's an absolute powerhouse that listens to everything he says, like Scrapper. What's not to love?
Ever since Mr. Pickles evolved, Remnant has become rather fond of him and loves to carry the little fluff ball around.
Wearing: A charm bracelet with the Unversed symbol on it Markings: Has more leaves on her head than normal; some are darker green Holding:
Met on Route 43 (level 21) | June 30th, 2017 While trying to catch a Flaaffy, this little thing got in the way. It scared off the electric sheep and ended up in the Pokeball instead, much to Vanitas's dismay. He kind of hated the little thing at first but Mandrake was determined to prove her worth and took on a rather ruthless attitude that eventually won Vanitas over. She doesn't have time for Pokemon she deems lesser than her and only associates with a few of the other members of her trainer's team, thinking herself better than the majority of them. In reality she has a long way to go before she's a proper fighter but that doesn't stop her from showboating when she can.
Having evolved into a Steenee, Mandrake's confidence has only grown and Phial has taken a particular liking to how she acts. The sassy pair have a habit of teaming up on other members of Vanitas's team or lounging on him whenever the opportunity presents itself. Mandrake has one more step in her evolution to go before she'll be a fully prepped fighter but watch out world, Mandrake is gonna rule you.
Wearing: Markings: Has faint spotting all over his stomach Holding:
Received from Bert Hoover (Egg) | July 4th, 2017 Hatched on July 11th, 2017 Being hatched from the first egg Vanitas ever picked out for himself, Blaster is a spoiled little shit and he knows it. Flaunts it even. He's as strong and as brave as they come and does everything he can to show off and make Vanitas proud, destroying things simply because he can. He's got a lot of raw talent if he can just learn how to use it though getting him to actually listen to proper battle commands is tricky and tends to take a lot of coaxing and praising. Needless to say he's going to be a work in progress.
It took several months of hard work and the addition of several other dragon-types to the team but Blaster finally started to get his act together. He's still a bit of a shithead but he'll listen to pretty much any command Vanitas gives now which makes him a force to be reckoned with in battle. He leveled up quickly and waited to evolving which meant when the time finally came Blaster ended up jumping right to his final evolution--Haxorus.
Now one of the largest members of the team Blaster let's nothing stand in his way and is completely loyal to Vanitas, ready to follow his trainer away from Team Rocket even.
Wearing: Markings: Stripes on his chest are split in two Holding:
Met at Lake Rage (level 27) | July 8th, 2017 An extremely gullible Pokemon, Wrecker didn't realize what he was getting into when he was lured close to shore by Vanitas. Once there to take the offered Poffin the totodile found himself attacked by Flood and Shadow, the ghost duo overpowering the little water 'mon and giving Vanitas the opportunity to capture him. Now apart of the team, Wrecker seems to just be rolling with it, not really caring about where he is as long as he has plenty of poffins to stuff his face with.
Wrecker really proved himself during the events of the Dog Days of Summer and ended up evolving while Vanitas and his team were on Mt. Mortar in an attempt to help fight the fires better. Despite being a naive little thing, Wrecker seemed to understand just how dangerous all of this was for everyone involved and worked hard the entire time they were there to protect his team and other Pokemon.
While he's not an active battler, Wrecker is always ready to go to bat if the situation calls for it. He's one of the group's main muscle Pokemon and loves to play up the intimidation factor whenever someone is trying to bother their trainer. Now that he's no longer with Team Rocket, Wrecker is always on the lookout for people that could be Rockets in disguise attempting to track Vanitas and capture him. (Though he has made a few bad judgment calls and ended up ripping the pants off a few poor tourists.)
Wearing: Markings: Left hand has two orange digits; has a scar on the back of his head Holding:
Met on Route 43 (level 22) | July 9th, 2017 Having encountered Vanitas and his group on their first pass through, Brute attacked again on their way back South and this time ended up gaining a spot on the team because of his tenacity. A rather easy going Pokemon overall, Brute can lure you into a sense of calm and then knock you flat before you know what hit you. He's not big on training unless properly bribed but he definitely has the potential to be a solid member of the team.
Or at least Vanitas thought he had potential. Since adding Brute to the party, the little shit has enjoyed lounging around more than anything else. Sure he's pretty proud of his power and does train here and there but why should he bother when he's already awesome?
Wearing: Markings: Petals are a darker red than normal; has faint red spotting around the large white spots Holding:
Met on Route 44 (level 31) | July 14th, 2017 While it looks pretty stupid, Mob is a surprisingly intelligent creature and is a bit of a brat to boot. She loves a challenge and is always determined to win which is why she ended up apart of Vani's team; she was beaten and that's unacceptable. So she's going to train with the team until the time comes she can kick Flood's annoying little butt.
Mob has yet to evolve though Vanitas does have a Leaf Stone for her, this Gloom biding her time for now. She seems to be very keen on seeing how the others develop so she can develop in a different way, wanting to make sure she's more powerful than the majority of them--even when most of Vani's team is fire and, well, she's a plant. Eventually she'll evolve and show off the majesty of her Poison and Grass-type moves but for now she'll just wait. Good things come to those who wait, after all.
Prior to Yuri and Vanitas visiting the Christmas Market in Goldenrod City, Mob decided it was time to evolve because Christmas! She did so in a showy manner, mostly to try and rub it in Mandrake's face, spinning and utilizing Petal Dance to make it even more glorious. Once evolved she happily started to prance around the house and Vanitas let her accompany them to the market so she could continue to show off, much to Flood's annoyance.
Wearing: Markings: Has a scar over one eye Holding:
Met on Route 44 (level 25) | July 15th, 2017 Caught using the Great Ball he'd swiped in Mahogany, Coach didn't go down easy and it took Scrapper, Phial and Flood to wear him down enough to actually settle. He seems to be a genuinely lonely creature which could be why he had jumped them like he did for a fight but whatever the case, Vanitas thinks he's kind of hilariously awesome.
Since becoming apart of the team, Coach has proven himself to be a brawler of the toughest kind. It's probably what seems to attract Scrapper to him and has led to them gifting Vanitas with a lot of eggs in recent months.
When he's not with Scrapper he's usually busy teaching the younger members of Vani's group how to fight. Coach has a lot more patience then other members of the group and is more than willing to watch the little ones stumble through the basics. He's taken a particular interest in Tank and Lily both as well as adopting Symphony as soon as the little guy was caught.
Wearing: Markings: Her red paw markings are uneven on all four legs; has a thick streak of black fur in the front of her mane Holding:
Met in Blackthorn City (level 26) | July 24th, 2017 Vanitas unknowingly encountered this Pokemon on his first pass through Mahogany and then again on his way back through after visiting Lake Rage. She was intrigued by him and his group and followed them out of the city, tailing them from a distance the entire trip to Blackthorn. It wasn't until the group had settled in that this Zorua made her move, impersonating a Sneasel--which Vanitas had been trying to catch--and allowing herself to be caught. After the fact Vanitas realized he'd gotten something completely different but is far too intrigued by her, after reading the dex entry, to get rid of her.
She's an extremely quiet and intuitive Pokemon, always aware of her surroundings and what others are up to. Mimic doesn't talk much, which unnerves many of Vani's other Pokemon, and she seems content to keep it that way. Evolving seems to have made her even more quiet, if that's even possible, and outside of Sneak, Mimic is hands down one of the best saboteurs of the group especially since she has the ability to take on the form of other Pokemon and even people if she so desires.
Despite being far more powerful than most of Vanitas's other Pokemon, Mimic answers directly to Flood and Scrapper, recognizing the pair as the Alphas of the team and never questioning their orders. She is devoted to this family that she's found for herself and will fight tooth and nail for them--and you'll never see her coming. The introduction of Nort the Clefairy has thrown a bit of a wrench in the works but Mimic is just carefully biding her time to see what happens.
Wearing: A bow-tie around his neck with an Unversed symbol pin in the center Markings: Ears are tufted like a Lynx Holding:
Stolen in Goldenrod City (level 16) | August 3rd, 2017 This little ball of fluff belonged to an old lady that Vanitas encountered while messing around Goldenrod. Knowing that Eevees had the potential to be useful considering all their variations, Vanitas didn't hesitate to swipe the little guy before the old lady even realized what was going on.
While not overly upset about being stolen, this Eevee refuses to respond to anything but the name he was originally given--Mr. Pickles--much to Vanitas's dismay.
After the events of the Dog Days of Summer, Mr. Pickles seemed to be ready to take his place on the team properly. So, taking it upon himself, the stubborn fluff stole a Fire Stone out of Vanitas's bag and promptly evolved himself into an even fluffier fireball. He's quite pleased with himself and honestly Vanitas isn't really upset about the evolution, the young man glad he chose this instead of something stupid.
Since evolving Mr. Pickles has taken it upon himself to be a regular little caretaker, preening the other Pokemon and even Vanitas, cleaning up after everyone and just being a little bit of a stiff. He's also won over Remnant, somehow, and the Typhlosion is quite content to carry him around whenever she can.
Wearing: Markings: Has scars all over his back; has yellow bands towards the end of his tail; red stripe around stomach is split in two Holding:
Met in Mahogany Town (level 24) | September 2nd, 2017 Vanitas had no idea this Kecleon had found his way into their motel room in Mahogany until Scrapper accidentally tripped over the camouflaged creature. The resulting fight ended up in a damaged hotel room and a caught Kecleon who, as it turns out, was looking for a trainer to tag along with and seemed specifically interested in the fact that Vanitas was apart of Team Rocket. It's a strange little lizard that likes to just sit, stare at people and eat snacks most of the time but oh is he a terrible little thief on the side.
He won Vanitas over, in fact, by offering him a Fire Stone he'd swiped which amused the young man to no end.
Since joining Vanitas's team Sneak tends to spend more time swiping items for his trainer than anything else, not really a battler like some of the others. He's extremely good at getting around unnoticed and tends to be Vani's go to when he needs a spy or to retrieve something. Sneak is happy to do anything his trainer asks because hey, it keeps him busy and gives him a chance to perfect his skills more. Not only can be get into most places unnoticed but he's also a skilled lock-picker and can get into any locked area with ease, swiping the goods and disappearing before anyone even knows he's there.
Wearing: Markings: Is more blue than normal, almost steel-blue in color on the bottom and pale blue on top. Holding:
Met at the Lake of Rage (level 23) | September 9th, 2017 Ever step in or on something that is just so absolutely disgusting that you just have to look at it? Yep. Vanitas stepped on this poor little Goomy and, after shaking it off his foot, ordered his Gible to go after it. Bruiser had other plans in mind and instead of attacking started playing with the little blob something that the Goomy seemed absolutely delighted by and was more than happy to indulge her new friend in! Vantias could do nothing but watch as Bruiser turned into a dragon-type version of a dumb puppy dog around this stupid blob of a Pokemon and, well, now Bruiser has a girlfriend and Vanitas has a new dragon type. If you can call it a dragon type.
Jelly is a bit of a naive little thing and doesn't seem to realize fully the type of person that Vanitas is but that's okay because she really likes his group of Pokemon! She's not so naive that she doesn't understand individuals like Scrapper are badasses and whatnot and is happy to give them all the room they need but she does tend to just settle now next to just about anyone in the group in the evenings and doze away without a care in the world. (This is, in fact, how she ended up evolving. Her chosen resting place just happened to be on top of Vanitas at the time.)
It wasn't until she had fully evolved that she started to show her real potential and it was actually by complete accident. Jelly was roughhousing with some of the other dragons in the group and it turned into a throw down that she ended up winning and Vanitas was just a little bit stunned. He ended up doing some reading on Goodras and started to focus her training on more hard hitting, powerful moves and oh did she start to shine. Jelly is still a big ball of love at the end of the day but put her in the ring and tell her what to do and she will be happy to wreck everything! (She has shitty defense though so..yeah. They have to work on that.)
Wearing: A tiny black vest with the Unversed symbol painted on it Markings: Face is entirely yellow sans a small white dot on his cheek Holding: Black Belt
Met at Mahogany Pokemon Center (level 18) | September 17th, 2017 Poppy, as he was known, was captured by a rather fashionable young woman who was looking to collect as many cute Pokemon as possible. Poppy hated her and hated how much she loved dressing her Pokemon up.
As fate would have it, the perfect opportunity struck for him when his trainer was stuck in the Pokemon Center in Mahogany during the Rocket raid. Spotting Vanitas and his Pokemon, Poppy knew that was where he needed to be and he managed to get his Pokeball away from his trainer, making sure Vanitas ended up with it.
Vanitas wasn't initially all that impressed with the little guy but Poppy's fighting spirit won him over and he let him stay. Now bearing a new name of his choosing--UNDERTAKER--the little guy won't let anything or anyone get in his way of being a fierce little dude. Watch out world, Undertaker is here!
Wearing: Markings: Has markings similar to the Super Hypo Tangerine seen here Holding: A blanket that he hides under when he gets scared
Met at Mahogany Pokemon Center (level 10) | September 17th, 2017 This little guy was given to a breeder's son after he turned out to not be exactly what the man was trying to breed for. It did nothing to help this Scraggy's confidence, as he watched his siblings all get to train and go to strong trainers, and he's been a rather sad little one because of it.
Good thing Vanitas stole him.
He's still not sure what to make of Vanitas, a little nervous about him and scared that he's going to end up dumping him off on someone else because he's not a perfect Pokemon like his siblings. All Vanitas sees is a chance to have a solid fighting type Pokemon regards of the imperfections in this little one's stats. He just...has to get him to stop being scared of everything.
Time has done wonders for Tank and he seems to be getting more confident the more time he spends with Vanitas and the others. Vani figured out rather quickly that Tank's biggest issue was getting hurt so he made sure to give the little guy moves to help up his defense and make him much harder to damage. It seems to have worked and Tank actively trains with the other Pokemon more, no longer hiding under his blanket at the drop of a hat.
It was when Vanitas made the decision to leave Team Rocket that Tank decided to evolve, fighting for his trainer when a Rocket Grunt tried to stop him from leaving and evolving after he defeated the Grunt's Houndour. Now a Scrafty, he's still a little bit twitchy but he's learning to channel that into being quick on his feet, making him a hard opponent to hit on the battlefield!
Wearing: Has a bandanna tied around one "wrist" that now has the Unversed symbol painted on it Markings: One ear is folded over; whiskers are bent Holding:
Met in Ecruteak City (level 24) | September 22nd, 2017 This little kitten was clearly someone's pet at some point but was either tossed out or decided he was done with people. He seems to have done pretty well for himself since then, despite some old wounds that are still visible, and doesn't seem all that put off by anything.
Vanitas and Yuri intrigued him and he started to follow them around Ecruteak, eventually following them out of the city as they headed back towards Mahogany. He seems particularly interested in Vanitas and has rubbed against his ankles more than once, much to the dismay of some of his other Pokemon.
Not a cat of many words, Flick seems to enjoy just watching the antics that Yuri and Vani's Pokemon get up to, particularly amused by Zorya the psycho Pichu. He decided to stick with the group and followed them out of Mahogany, enjoying the time on the road with the crew.
Since joining the family Flick has taken a liking to several of Vanitas's Pokemon, often found plotting with Sneak and Thornbite or playing with Tank, whom the Meowth seems to have adopted.
Wearing: Markings: Hands and feet are shredded; one eye is misshapen Holding:
Traded for on Route 45 (level 5) | October 31st, 2017 A quiet little thing that wasn't what his original owner had wanted because of how headstrong he ended up being. "Difficult to train" is what the kid had told Vanitas when they traded and he took it with a grain of salt. It took some time before the Shuppet--which he dubbed Shade--warmed up to him but once the little thing did it was clear he was going to be a good addition to the group.
While he is very headstrong it's for good reason. Shade is already very skilled and has the potential to easily be one of Vani's strongest Pokemon. He's been happily adopted into the circle of ghosts that travel with the young man, Flood, Shadow and Glide all taking a liking to this little guy rather quickly. (Especially surprising for Glide since he's such an angry little Duskull.)
Shade seems pleased with his new surroundings and is happy to get a chance to prove just how amazing he can be. He's also got this thing about being upside down and can usually be found floating as such by the ceiling just watching everyone. It seems to be his preferred place to stay in any building they may be in.
Wearing: Markings: Seems to be way more melt-y than normal; "melted wax" completely covers her yellow eye Holding:
Received from Botan (egg) | November 20th, 2017 Hatched on November 25th, 2017 Pod is a very strange little Litwick. Actually, she's a very strange little Pokemon. Since hatching she's shown a bunch of very strange quirks including constantly pretending to be a normal candle to the point that people pick her up without realizing what she is, letting herself become almost goop-y she melts so much, and sitting right next to a slumbering person or Pokemon's head and staring at them while they're trying to sleep.
Yep. That's Pod.
But she's very friendly! So friendly, in fact, that she tries to cuddle with everyone that she can not thinking about the fact that she'll instinctively start sucking away their life energy. She just wants to be cuddly, guys.
Wearing: Markings: Head feathers are much longer than normal; has darker coloration Holding:
Met in Mahogany Town (level 28) | November 25th, 2017 During Vanitas's take over of Mahogany Town this little Oricorio had been unsure what to make of things. She stayed out of sight and out of mind as much as possible, watching what the young man and his companions did, trying to figure out what kind of person he was. It was during his confrontation with Aqua that this little bird came to the decision that she was going to join Vani's team, confronting him herself after everything was said and done. At first the young man didn't really seem that interested but her ghost typing was enough to at least gain Flood's interest and from there, well, Archraven soon had a place in the team.
Wearing: Markings: Has a squared snout like a Hognose Viper; has faint banding along his body Holding:
Met in Goldenrod City (level 16) | December 22nd, 2017 Viper decided, on his own, to leave his previous trainer and join Vanitas. The Ace Trainer that had caught the little Ekans originally didn't seem all that intent to actually give him a chance after getting some stronger Pokemon, in his opinion, and that just didn't sit well with Viper. So taking it upon himself to break out of his Pokeball the Ekans set out to find someone he deemed worthy of his power and fighting prowess.
Thus him meeting Vanitas and his crew.
The Ekans watched them wander around the Christmas Market before ultimately deciding that was the group he wanted to be with and coerced Flick the Meowth into getting him a Pokeball from Vanitas's bag. The Meowth, thoroughly amused, went along with it and Vanitas didn't realize he had a new addition until he was back in Mahogany. He's not upset, though, considering how ready to train and flight the Ekans is.

While very much a temperamental little shit, Flood is the best partner that Vanitas could have gotten.
♟ Toppler the Swoobat
Swoobat ♂ | Toppler
OT: Vanitas
Level: 75
Type:
Egg group: Field/Flying
Ability: Unaware
Nature & Characteristic: Jolly ; strong willed
Moveset: Confusion, Odor Sleuth, Gust, Assurance, Heart Stamp, Imprison, Air Cutter, Attract, Amnesia, Calm Mind, Air Slash, Future Sight, Psychic, Endeavor, Zen Headbutt, Magic Coat, Aerial Ace*, Psyshock*
Wearing:
Markings: Nose is darker colored than normal; ears have grey tips

Met in Goldenrod City (level 5) | May 21st, 2017
A happy go-lucky little creature that really doesn't deserve the punishment of belonging to Vanitas.
♟ Scrapper the Houndoom

Markings: Left side of her face is scarred up; has a knotch in her left horn
Holding: Hyper Potion
Met in Goldenrod City (level 16) | May 23rd, 2017
A rough and tumble Pokemon that put up one hell of a fight before Vanitas was able to catch her.
♟ Shadow the Gengar
Gengar ♀ | Shadow
OT: Vanitas

Met in Ecruteak City (level 22) | June 6th, 2017
A chill little ghost, Shadow ended up a member of Vanitas's team after crossing paths with him and his team in Ecruteak.
♟Bruiser the Garchomp
Garchomp ♂ | Bruiser

Met on Mt. Mortar (level 33) | June 9th, 2017
A little hard hitting bad ass that gave Vanitas and Scrapper a run for their money when they first encountered him.
♟ Phial the Salazzle
Salazzle ♀ | Phial

Moveset: Scratch, Poison Gas, Ember, Sweet Scent, Dragon Rage, Smog, Double Slap, Flame Burst, Toxic, Nasty Plot, Venoshock, Flame Thrower, Venom Drench, Dragon Pulse, Return*, Sludge Bomb*, Double Team*
Wearing:
Markings: The markings on it's back are darker than normal; front claws are the same color as it's back markings; has the Unversed symbol burned/scarred into the thigh of her right hind leg

Met on Mt. Mortar (level 40) | June 16th, 2017
There was no fight necessary to win this particular Salandit because she's absolutely infatuated with Vanitas.
♟ Remnant the Typhlosion
Typhlosion ♀ | Remnant

Met on Mt. Mortar (level 32) | June 20th, 2017
Ever met an animal that is just itching to scratch your eyes out and bit your neck just because you looked at it the wrong way?
♟ Mandrake the Tsareena
Tsareena ♀ | Mandrake

Nature & Characteristic: Rash ; somewhat stubborn
Moveset: Splash, Play Nice, Rapid Spin, Razor Leaf, Sweet Scent, Magical Leaf, Teeter Dance, Stomp, Aromatic Mist, Captivate, Aromatherapy, Leaf Storm, High Jump Kick, Low Kick, Laser Focus, Attract*, Dazzling Gleam*, Double Team*, Low Sweep*
Wearing: A charm bracelet with the Unversed symbol on it
Markings: Has more leaves on her head than normal; some are darker green
Holding:
Met on Route 43 (level 21) | June 30th, 2017
While trying to catch a Flaaffy, this little thing got in the way.
♟ Blaster the Haxorus
Haxorus ♂ | Blaster
OT: Vanitas

Markings: Has faint spotting all over his stomach

Received from Bert Hoover (Egg) | July 4th, 2017
Hatched on July 11th, 2017
Being hatched from the first egg Vanitas ever picked out for himself, Blaster is a spoiled little shit and he knows it.
♟ Wrecker the Feraligatr
Feraligatr ♂ | Wrecker
OT: Vanitas
Level: 77
Type:
Egg group: Monster/Water 1
Ability: Torrent
Nature & Characteristic: Naive; loves to eat
Moveset: Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Rage, Bite, Scary Face, Ice Fang, Flail, Crunch, Chip Away, Slash, Screech, Thrash, Aqua Tail, Hydro Cannon, Liquidation, Hail*, Ice Beam*, Waterfall*, Surf*
Wearing:
Markings: Stripes on his chest are split in two
Holding:
Met at Lake Rage (level 27) | July 8th, 2017
An extremely gullible Pokemon, Wrecker didn't realize what he was getting into when he was lured close to shore by Vanitas.
♟ Brute the Toxicroak
Toxicroak ♂ | Brute
OT: Vanitas
Level: 72
Type:
Egg group: Human-like
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature & Characteristic: Relaxed; proud of its power
Moveset: Astonish, Mud-Slap, Poison Sting, Taunt, Pursuit, Feint Attack, Revenge, Swagger, Mud Bomb, Sucker Punch, Venoshock, Nasty Plot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Belch, Flatter, Low Kick, Drain Punch, Focus Punch, Throat Chop, Low Sweep*, Bulk Up*, Emargo*
Wearing:
Markings: Left hand has two orange digits; has a scar on the back of his head
Holding:
Met on Route 43 (level 22) | July 9th, 2017
Having encountered Vanitas and his group on their first pass through, Brute attacked again on their way back South and this time ended up gaining a spot on the team because of his tenacity.
♟ Mob the Vileplume
Vileplume ♀ | Mob
OT: Vanitas
Level: 71
Type:
Egg group: Grass
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature & Characteristic: Impish ; hates to lose
Moveset: Absorb, Growth, Sweet Scent, Acid, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Mega Drain, Lucky Chant, Moonlight, Giga Drain, Toxic, Natural Gift, PEtal Blizzard, Grassy Terrain, Petal Dance, Swagger*, Sludge Bomb*
Wearing:
Markings: Petals are a darker red than normal; has faint red spotting around the large white spots
Holding:
Met on Route 44 (level 31) | July 14th, 2017
While it looks pretty stupid, Mob is a surprisingly intelligent creature and is a bit of a brat to boot.
♟ Coach the Diggersby
Diggersby ♂ | Coach
OT: Vanitas
Level: 82
Type:
Egg group: Field
Ability: Cheek Pouch
Nature & Characteristic: Lonely ; likes to fight
Moveset: Swords Dance, Tackle, Agility, Leer, Quick Attack, Double Slap, Mud-Slap, Take Down, Mud Shot, Double Kick, Odor Sleuth, Flail, Dig, Bounce, Super Fang, Facade, Earthquake, Hammer Arm, Earth Power, Rock Smash*, Torment*, Double-Team*, Surf*
Wearing:
Markings: Has a scar over one eye
Holding:
Met on Route 44 (level 25) | July 15th, 2017
Caught using the Great Ball he'd swiped in Mahogany, Coach didn't go down easy and it took Scrapper, Phial and Flood to wear him down enough to actually settle.
♟ Mimic the Zoroark
Zoroark ♀ | Mimic
OT: Vanitas
Level: 85
Type:
Egg group: Field
Ability: Illusion
Nature & Characteristic: Quiet ; highly curious
Moveset: Scratch, Leer, Pursuit, Fake Tears, Fury Swipes, Feint Attack, Scary Face, Taunt, Foul Play, Torment, Agility, Embargo, Punishment, Nasty Plot, Imprison, Night Daze, Night Slash, Rock Smash*, Return*, Double Team*
Wearing:
Markings: Her red paw markings are uneven on all four legs; has a thick streak of black fur in the front of her mane
Holding:
Met in Blackthorn City (level 26) | July 24th, 2017
Vanitas unknowingly encountered this Pokemon on his first pass through Mahogany and then again on his way back through after visiting Lake Rage.
♟ Mr. Pickles the Flareon
Flareon ♂ | Mr. Pickles

Moveset: Tackle, Tail Whip, Sand Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, Bite, Swift, Refresh, Take Down, Charm, Baton Pass, Smog, Lava Plume, Last Resort, Flare Blitz, Hyper Voice, Heal Bell, Shadow Ball*, Strength*, Flamethrower*, Rock Smash*
Wearing: A bow-tie around his neck with an Unversed symbol pin in the center
Markings: Ears are tufted like a Lynx
Holding:
Stolen in Goldenrod City (level 16) | August 3rd, 2017
This little ball of fluff belonged to an old lady that Vanitas encountered while messing around Goldenrod.
♟ Sneak the Kecleon
Kecleon ♂ | Sneak
OT: Vanitas
Level: 58
Type:
Egg group: Field
Ability: Color Change
Nature & Characteristic: Quirky ; mischievous
Moveset: Thief, Lick, Scratch, Bind, Shadow Sneak, Feint, Fury Swipes, Psybeam, Ancient Power, Slash, Camouflage, Shadow Claw, Screech, Substitute, Sucker Punch, Synchronoise, Wonder Room, Magic Coat, Snatch, Strength*, Flamethrower*, Rock Smash*, Hone Claws*, Thunderbolt*, Retaliate*
Wearing:
Markings: Has scars all over his back; has yellow bands towards the end of his tail; red stripe around stomach is split in two
Holding:
Met in Mahogany Town (level 24) | September 2nd, 2017
Vanitas had no idea this Kecleon had found his way into their motel room in Mahogany until Scrapper accidentally tripped over the camouflaged creature.
♟ Jelly the Goodra
Goodra ♀ | Jelly
OT: Vanitas

Type:
Egg group: Dragon
Ability: Sap Sipper
Nature & Characteristic: Naive ; somewhat of a clown
Moveset: Tackle, Bubble, Absorb, Protect, Bide, Dragon Breath, Rain Dance, Flail, Body Slam, Muddy Water, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, Sunny Day*, Flamethrower*, Earthquake*, Bulldoze*, Incinerate*
Wearing:
Markings: Is more blue than normal, almost steel-blue in color on the bottom and pale blue on top.
Holding:
Met at the Lake of Rage (level 23) | September 9th, 2017
Ever step in or on something that is just so absolutely disgusting that you just have to look at it?
♟ Undertaker the Ribombee
Ribombee ♂ | Undertaker (Formerly Poppy)
OT: Fashionable Girl
Level: 47
Type:
Egg group: Bug/Fairy
Ability: Honey Gather
Nature & Characteristic: Brave ; highly persistent
Moveset: Absorb, Fairy Wind, Stun Spore, Struggle Bug, Silver Wind, Draining Kiss, Sweet Scent, Bug Buzz, Dazzling Gleam, Aromatherapy, Swagger*, Double Team*, Aerial Ace*, Solar Beam*
Wearing: A tiny black vest with the Unversed symbol painted on it
Markings: Face is entirely yellow sans a small white dot on his cheek
Holding: Black Belt
Met at Mahogany Pokemon Center (level 18) | September 17th, 2017
Poppy, as he was known, was captured by a rather fashionable young woman who was looking to collect as many cute Pokemon as possible.
♟ Tank the Scrafty
Scrafty ♂ | Tank
OT: Youngster
Level: 47
Type:
Egg group: Field/Dragon

Met at Mahogany Pokemon Center (level 10) | September 17th, 2017
This little guy was given to a breeder's son after he turned out to not be exactly what the man was trying to breed for.

Met in Ecruteak City (level 24) | September 22nd, 2017
This little kitten was clearly someone's pet at some point but was either tossed out or decided he was done with people.

Traded for on Route 45 (level 5) | October 31st, 2017
A quiet little thing that wasn't what his original owner had wanted because of how headstrong he ended up being.

Pod is a very strange little Litwick.

Met in Mahogany Town (level 28) | November 25th, 2017
During Vanitas's take over of Mahogany Town this little Oricorio had been unsure what to make of things.
Because what Flood says goes sometimes.

Met in Goldenrod City (level 16) | December 22nd, 2017
Viper decided, on his own, to leave his previous trainer and join Vanitas.
